We define a “local hero” as someone whose business offers high-quality local products and maintains high standards in social and environmental practices, food sourcing, regional economic impact and commitment to promoting a sustainable food system. In March 1982, when Vicki and John Hale told people they were going to open a homemade pasta shop, the most common response was “What is pasta?” That’s seems hard to believe now, but fortunately our food IQ has risen over the decades, in large part because Lotsa Pasta International Food Shop has been delivering global flavors to the local community for the past 36 years. 

Several restaurants in Louisville have started making their own pastas in house, and each one has a different way of doing it.

Celebrating 35 years of serving the community, Lotsa Pasta is the place to shop for the finest pastas, breads, cheeses, and other gourmet delicacies from around the world. They've had a loyal customer base for years but warmly welcome all who want to browse their market and hopefully take home fresh ingredients to create a memorable meal.
